Doppelbock

The Doppelbock is a rich, strong lager that originated in Germany. The name translated to "double bock", representing that it's a stronger version of the traditional bock beer.

Doppelbocks are known for their high malt content, high ABV and full body. They are sweet and complex with deep dark malt flavours of dark fruit, caramel or molasses. The hop is generally subdued, with enough bitterness to provide some balance and relief against the sweetness. There is a perceptible alcohol warmth.

With the Doppelbock expect a dark amber hue with a creamy and persistent head. The body is full with a viscous sweet mouthfeel, that's washed away with a moderate carbonation.
