Description

Part of our quarterly lager releases. This Vienna lager was designed by our brewer Tara and named after her son Kit who, like the beer, is entering his third year. Large amounts of Vienna malt and a touch of Munich give this beer its deep amber hue alongside toasted bread aromas and flavours. After being cold fermented for 2 weeks we then keep the beer at -1C for 4 weeks to give a clean crisp bite. German Spalter hops balance the beer with an earthy almost savoury herb character. VISUAL: Deep amber and sparkling bright, with a tight foam AROMA: Rye bread crustiness, with a herbaceous hop character TASTE: A big crusty bread flavour to start that is then balanced out with a touch of honey malt sweetness before spicy, earthy hop notes take over. MOUTHFEEL: Medium. Malt character leads, with a bittersweet finish
