Description

The darling of our brewers eye is our crispy and herbal Helles. Inspired by the German style we love, with a big tip of the cap to one of our favourite ever beers, Augustiner Helles. This beer is the result of a hard trodden tone-quest, in search of the divine balance of German Brewing precision and heritage; to make a faultless Helles that is absurdly drinkable whilst we look for measured, bready-sweet honeyed notes, we also want herbal complexities, enough bitterness to just keep clawing you back in against that subtle malt sweetness and to create a beer remaining smooth and finishing with the lightest of lemony herbal hoppyness. To accomplish a Helles that is superbly clean and remarkably crisp in the true German style entails the devouring of centuries of brewing knowledge and making our own version to their incredible consistent standards of perfection and precision is some challenge. One that we feel we've done rather ok with!
